Today’s Scripture Reading: Exodus 14–16; Acts 2

Scripture Focus:

Exodus 15:26 I am the LORD who heals you.

Observation:

God reveals one of his names in this verse: Physician or Healer. He does place a condition earlier in the verse: If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statues, I will put none of the diseases on you which i have brought on the Egyptians.

But the point that came home to me today is that healing is part of who God is—his nature. Healing comes in many ways, but certainly physical healing is one of them.

Application:

I just learned of one of my subscribers who found out she has cancer. This is a woman of faith who knows where she will go when she dies.

I always feel helpless when I hear of such things, and I AM helpless, but I trust in a God who isn’t helpless! At the core of his being he is the Healer. So I can ask him for healing for my sister in Christ. In fact, he invites me to ask.

Luke 11:9 So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Prayer:

Abba Father, Divine Healer, I’m asking today for healing for my sister in Christ. In Jesus Name, Amen.
