July 24, 2009 Strength For The Weary

Today’s Bible Reading: Isaiah 40, 41, 42; 1 Peter 3

Scripture Focus:

Isaiah 40:27–31 Why do you say, O Jacob,
And speak, O Israel:

“ My way is hidden from the LORD,
And my just claim is passed over by my God”?
Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, the LORD,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Neither faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Observation:

There is nothing I can add to these incredible verses. They have been like water to a parched mouth.

Application:

Wait on the Lord to renew your strength.

Prayer:

Father God, you are a big God! I put my trust in you that you will carry me through this season and give me the strength I need for today and the days ahead.
